Nina Dobrushina, Michael Daniel and Ilya Chechuro took part in the 4th workshop on Turkic and languages in contact with Turkic at New York University.

Nina Dobrushina gave a talk on "The role of Azerbaijani in Southern Daghestan", and Ilya Chechuro and Michael Daniel presented their project with Samira Verhees on "Lexical Convergence with Azerbaijani in Southern Daghestan".

In addition, on February 22th a talk about "Field research on multilingualism and language contact in Daghestan" was presented during a seminar on field linguistics at the department of linguistics at NYU.
