Workshop "Language convergence studies: methods and results"
From November 27th to December 2nd 2017, a workshop "Language convergence studies: methods and results" will be held in the School of Linguistics of NRU HSE (at Staraya Basmannaya street 21/4, corpus 1).
The workshop is dedicated to the discussion of intermediate results and future plans for the research projects. This will be the first common meeting of all laboratory members.
The following members will come to Vyshka to take part in the workshop: Johanna Nichols (professor emerita at the University of Berkley), Stefan Th. Gries (professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara), Martti Vainio (professor at the University of Helsinki), Juraj Šimko (the University of Helsinki), Sven Grawunder (assistant professor at the University of Kiel and guest researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology), Brigitte Pakendorf (senior researcher at CNRS, France), Ruprecht von Waldenfels (postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zurich) and Timur Maisak (senior researcher at the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences).
The working language of the event will be English.
